The Creator

Dennis grew up a huge fan of Sketch comedy shows such as In Living Color, The Chappelle’s Show and SNL. What started as a simple idea & desire to cultivate something funny, fresh, dope and unique that represented the cultural diversity of his hometown soon led to the creation of a monthly sketch show called DAYCATION Theatre. There, he wore many hats: Actor, Head Writer, Director and Producer.  Armed with fresh, completely original sketches, an uber talented, inclusive cast of performers and an amazing dedicated crew, the DAYCATION Theatre ensemble became a huge hit in the community and went on to gain a  following that extended as far as San Diego. The hard work lead to a consistent string of sold out runs, every show. As the buzz built, audiences couldn’t get enough or wait to see the new hilarious sketches and signature characters. In fact, tickets would sell out so quickly each month that Daycation began offering free community admission to all rehearsals the day before opening night for those who couldn’t afford or get their hands on tickets — and those shows too filled to capacity.

PAying it forward

Giving back to his community is very important to Dennis. In his spare time, he loves to share any knowledge & insight into his craft with the next generation by creating opportunities for those who are traditionally overlooked or lack the access to learn about the art form. He can often be found teaching free theatre and improvisation classes to under served and at risk youth in his hometown.

so What’s Next?

Always looking for the next challenge, Dennis is currently developing multiple projects including podcasts, a web series, a virtual script reading group, a monthly book club and is also working towards writing/producing his very first feature film with the intention to play the lead role.

Outside of acting, he’s also very excited to finally learn how to cook edible food. Dennis is working on becoming multi-lingual and reaching new milestones on his personal fitness journey.
