Born and raised in Long Beach, CA, Dennis always had a strong appetency for art. His desire and dedication to master the craft of acting in particular led him to receive multiple scholarships. On his journey, he diligently sought out and studied with Julliard Alumni, Uta Hagen disciples, Improv masters, TONY Award winning theatre company South Coast Repertory, Academy Award Winner Tim Robbins & The Actors’ Gang, British super agent Femi Oguns’ acclaimed IDENTITY School of Acting ( a member of the school’s inaugural Los Angeles class), renowned Casting Director Risa Bramon Garcia’s BGB Studios and Joy Brunson (This is Us, Snowfall) and the JOY OF ACTING STUDIO.

Dennis grew up a huge fan of Sketch comedy shows such as In Living Color and SNL. So what started as a simple desire to cultivate an “artistic gym” or space for artists to just play soon led to the creation of a monthly sketch show he called DAYCATION Theatre. There, he wore many hats: Actor, Writer, Director and Producer. Armed with fresh, originally written sketches, an insanely talented, diverse cast of performers and an amazing & dedicated crew, the DAYCATION Theatre ensemble became a huge hit in the Long Beach community and went on to gain a following that extended the shows reach to San Diego as well. The ensembles hard work lead to a consistent string of sold out runs, every single show. As the buzz built, audiences seemingly couldn’t get enough and showed up to see the hilarious sketches and signature characters each month. Additionally, Daycation offered free community admission to all dress rehearsals before every opening night for those who couldn’t afford or get their hands on tickets. Those too usually filled to capacity.
PAying it forward
Giving back is very important to Dennis. In his spare time, he loves to share any knowledge & insight into his craft with the next generation. He has organized and created learning opportunities for those who are traditionally overlooked or lack the access to learn about the art form. He can even sometimes be found teaching free theatre and improvisation classes to the youth in his hometown.
so What’s Next?
Always looking for the next challenge, Dennis is currently developing multiple projects including podcasts, a scripted television series, a web-series program and is also writing/producing a feature film.
Outside of acting, Dennis is working on becoming multi-lingual, is dedicated to community activism, pushing the limits of his personal fitness and learning to cook food that’s actually edible.
