WELCOME
Iโm Dennis Pearson, a Los Angeles based actor working across film, television and theatre.
My work centers on grounded, character-driven storytelling. Recent highlights include winning Best Actor at the DC Black Film Festival for Tinderbox, leading Unlocked to a Tribeca Best Branded Film nomination, performing at the Mark Taper Forum in Blues for an Alabama Sky directed by Phylicia Rashad and a co-star on the FX pilot The Bends.
Whether in a two-hour drama or a 30-second campaign for brands including HP, Coke Zero, Hippo Home Insurance or Optimumโs iPhone 17 Pro, I bring the same commitment to specificity, intelligence and emotional truth.
Iโm drawn to a multitude of roles. I love playing morally layered characters who carry tension beneath the surface and hold contradictions without announcing them.
Beyond acting, I write Between the Lines, a Substack exploring craft, resilience and the promises we keep. My latest essay, “Finish the Picture,” tells the story of my childhood best friend George and the last words he ever said to me before he passed away. That promise shaped much of what I’ve becomeโon stage, on screen and on the page.
Every performance I do, I dedicate to six people who shaped who I am. George is always one of them.
I’m also developing original projects including The Cost of Living (limited series), Afterlight (feature screenplay), and The Participant (audio drama). If youโre here to collaborate or explore whatโs next, welcome.
This is where the work lives.
STORIES I’M BUILDING:
The Cost of Living โ Limited series. A warehouse worker losing his job to AI automation makes a desperate choice that forces a reckoning about dignity, work and what we owe each other.
The Participant โ Audio drama. A psychological thriller about a bank manager forced to rob his own bank while his family is held hostage.
Between the Lines โ Substack. Essays on craft, responsibility, and the work that happens when no one’s watching.
