Babalu Selected for Tribeca Festival — Dennis Pearson

Babalu, an audio drama centered on Asian American women and mental health, has been selected for the Tribeca Festival as part of this year’s audio showcase.

Created by Kimberly Truong, the series has already reached a wide audience, with over 50,000 downloads and continues to resonate through its specificity, care and perspective.

Dennis Pearson appears in a supporting role as part of the project’s ensemble.

“I’m grateful to be part of something this intentional,” Pearson said. “The care behind Babalu was clear from the beginning and it’s meaningful to see that work recognized on this level.”

The series will be presented live in New York on June 9th as part of the festival’s official programming.
